Early talent Internship
Jobbeskrivelse
Your impact begins here
As an intern in Supply Chain at Novo Canada, you will support the team that plans and coordinates how Novo’s products reach people in Canada. You will help with demand forecasting, sample management and regular reporting, and help bring a new ordering system into daily use. You will learn how an end-to-end supply chain works, and give colleagues the clear, accurate information they need to act with confidence.
What you’ll bring
This is an early-career role. We care most about your curiosity, motivation and willingness to learn.
- Supply chain, logistics, business, operations, finance and engineering backgrounds are all relevant, and a genuine interest in numbers and operations matters more than your field of study.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organising and reviewing data.
- Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail, so you can check data accuracy, spot discrepancies and summarise what you find.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to share clear updates with internal colleagues and external partners.
- Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to track tasks, meet deadlines and follow up on open actions.
- A proactive, curious approach: you complete tasks independently, ask for guidance when you need it and use feedback to improve.
Useful, but not essential:
- Familiarity with Excel formulas, lookup functions and pivot tables.
- Foundational knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, logistics or distribution from coursework, projects or previous experience.
- Exposure to enterprise resource planning (ERP) or order management systems.
What you’ll do
You will work alongside experienced colleagues who will train you and guide your work. Your tasks will include:
- Compile data and assist with forecast updates to support demand forecasting for selected brands across the Novo portfolio.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports, review trends and flag potential supply chain issues for the team’s attention.
- Assist with sample management and coordinate related activities with the third-party logistics (3PL) provider.
- Share updates, follow up on requests and coordinate activities with external partners.
- Work with cross-functional colleagues to support product launches and transitions.
- Assist with implementing a new ordering system and support its day-to-day operations.
Who you’ll work with
You will join the Novo Canada Supply Chain team and report to a Sr Manager in Supply Chain. The team coordinates end-to-end supply chain activities, including demand planning and forecasting, 3PL management and trade relations, and supports the company’s business objectives in Canada.
You will be part of a small team: your leader, three colleagues who each manage a different area of supply chain, and a graduate from Novo’s global graduate programme. Day to day, you will support your colleagues, learn from them and take on tasks that match your growing skills. You will also work with cross-functional teams on launches and transitions, and with our 3PL provider and other external partners, so you can see how your work connects to the wider business.
What we offer
At Novo Nordisk, you'll join a global healthcare company with a unique culture and strong results. We offer continuous learning, career development, and benefits tailored to your life and career stage.
