About the department
Join our dynamic Accounting department, where we conduct the financial and accounting operations of Novo Nordisk. Our team is responsible for preparing, collecting, and interpreting financial information, managing taxation affairs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Located at our headquarters, we foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, where your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering world-class financial management.

The position
As a (Sr.) Accounting Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will:

• Accounting Payable: Oversee overall accounts payable transactions, ensuring adherence to internal finance policies and local statutory requirements.
• GL Account Management & Process Improvement: Maintain GL accounts in AP-related systems such as ICE, SAP Hana, and Coupa, while improving and strengthening AP processes in collaboration with Global Business Services ( GBS) in India.
• Financial Documentation & Audits: Prepare supplementary documents for monthly and yearly closing, external and internal audits, customs audits, tax filings, and internal controls.
• Tax & Regulatory Filings: Independently handle quarterly VAT reconciliation and filing, withholding tax reconciliation, filing, and payment, while also supporting corporate income tax return processes.
• System Expertise & Training: Act as a super user for global systems like ICE, SAP Hana, and Concur, lead global accounts payable projects, conduct employee training, and manage ad-hoc accounting and treasury tasks.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business or accounting-related fields with at least 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements, with good experience in SAP; familiarity with procurement processes in Coupa is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Korean.
• A strong and flexible mindset to take on roles in GL, Treasury, and Tax, with self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills, sincerity with integrity, a positive mindset, and a strong team player.
