The Position
As our Finance Controller you will play a key role the Oxford accounting Team and the entire accounting process related to Record to Report, including local journal entries, month-end close, and consolidation for external reporting such as the Annual Report. You will possess the decision-making power to identify, define, and develop solutions to complex issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes.

About the Department
The Financial Controller role is based in the UK research & development function, where you will oversee accounting processes and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Our team is responsible for managing Record to Report activities, local journal entries, and month-end close processes. We consolidate financial data for external reporting, such as the Annual Report, and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting, including Sarbanes Oxley and the Minimum Controls framework. The department fosters a collaborative and fast-paced atmosphere, where your expertise will contribute to accurate and compliant financial reporting. You’ll also work closely with external auditors and internal accounting teams to ensure transparency and precision in our financial operations.
