Stilling
Project Coordinator (11 months maternity cover)
Jobbeskrivelse
.
Are you a structured, proactive, coordinator who enjoys keeping complex project work on track? Join our community of 25 Project Coordinators for an 11-month maternity cover, where you will support the Global Project Leader (GPL) and Global Project Teams (GPT) with coordinating cross-organisational activities. Your mission: make it easy for the GPL and GPT to take decisions, deliver on critical R&D project milestones, and stay aligned by running the project engine behind the scenes.
If you thrive on bringing structure, momentum, and clarity to a busy project set-up—and like being the person who turns “we should” into “it’s done”—you’ll feel right at home in this role.
Your new role
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in enabling smooth execution of cross-functional projects through strong planning, structured follow-up, and professional coordination across stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Keep plans, people, and milestones aligned:
- Maintain project plans and deliverables in GPP (Global Project Planner)
- Collect and compile input to monthly reporting on key deliverables, milestones, and project risks
- Coordinate GPT meetings, including booking, consolidating the agenda, taking minutes and assigning/tracking actions
- Drive projects events such as information meetings, workshops or team events
- Plan and coordinate governance interactions, including materials preparation, follow-up, and action tracking
- Keep budget clarity:
- Consolidate GPT budget input from the different R&D areas (AB/LE/RE)
- Follow up regularly on actual project costs and provide variance explanations, with active communication to your GPL/R&D Finance
- Be the calm fixer when priorities shift:
- Flexibility towards cooperation in teams and groups within and outside the project
- Assist across admin skill types when necessary and especially in periods with heavy workload
This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your value chain understanding while providing excellent support for our key R&D drug development projects. This position is Job Level 5 (administrative) and is based in Søborg/Måløv in Denmark. It is an 11-month maternity cover.
Your new department
You will be part of the PSPL Project Leadership Center of Excellence, an area dedicated to providing operational and strategic support to Global Project Teams (GPTs). You’ll join a community of Project Coordinators who share tools, sparring, and best practices and who look out for each other in busy periods. Our team operates across three locations: Søborg and Måløv in Denmark, and Lexington in the US. The atmosphere is collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic, with a strong focus on driving impactful projects and delivering value to Novo Nordisk’s pipeline. Joining us means being part of a team that values teamwork and a fun environment where we collaborate and share across.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who preferably has experience with project coordination and budgeting, more specifically:
- Experience in budgeting processes
- Experience working in different IT systems (e.g., SAP, Teams, MS Word, MS Excel...) and an interest in experimenting with AI as an enabler for the project coordination work.
- Strong organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with internal stakeholders across Lines of Business
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build strong relationships.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- A constructive, can-do attitude
