Are you ready to lead a global planning transformation at the heart of Novo Nordisk’s supply chain? As Director of Planning Transformation, you will drive the evolution of our core planning platform and shape future‑ready planning capabilities across a complex, global organisation. This is a senior leadership role with significant impact on business performance, scalability and resilience.

 

Your new role

As Director of Planning Transformation, you will be accountable for driving the implementation, adoption and continuous evolution of OMP as Novo Nordisk’s core supply chain planning platform within Global Supply Chain Planning. You will translate enterprise and functional priorities into delivered planning capabilities in close collaboration with stakeholders across Planning, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance and Digital.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading the end‑to‑end implementation and evolution of OMP, ensuring integration with global planning processes, governance and ways of working
  • Defining and executing the multi‑year Planning Transformation roadmap to support growth, resilience and scalability
  • Co‑creating future‑ready global planning processes in partnership with Process Excellence and Lines of Business
  • Acting as planning domain authority in cross‑functional forums, ensuring strong end‑to‑end supply chain outcomes
  • Providing clear leadership, direction and organisational capability across end‑to‑end planning transformation teams

 

Your new department

You will join the Planning Transformation area within Global Supply Chain Planning, reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain Planning. The department plays a central role in shaping how planning is performed across Novo Nordisk’s global supply chain, with responsibility for integrating advanced planning platforms, global standards and planning capabilities.

 

Your team has 9 direct reports. The organization you will be leading consists of 45 supply chain professionals and specialists on different levels, organized in five teams.

 

The role has a global scope, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across GMS sites and affiliates worldwide. The position is based in Taastrup, Denmark, with up to 20 travel days per year, primarily outside Denmark.

 

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong combination of strategic leadership, planning expertise and transformation experience. We expect that you have:

 

  • A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership track record, within complex global organizations
  • 8–10 years of leadership experience within supply chain, planning or production in a global context
  • Understanding of supply chain planning processes and advanced planning platforms (e.g. OMP or similar APS solutions)
  • Strong stakeholder management, change leadership and communication skills in complex organisations

 

You are a confident leader who creates trusts, sets clear direction, navigates complexity and drives progress in dynamic and high‑impact environments.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 940,800 to 1,448,700 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
