Your new role

As a Project Cost Controller, you will take ownership of overall project cost control on large capex projects while guiding and setting the professional direction for colleagues in the cost control discipline. You will collaborate across teams and departments, providing sparring for project management and ensuring financial rigour throughout project execution.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing overall project cost control on large capex projects, including planning, organising and controlling resources and processes to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality and budget constraints
• Guiding and setting professional direction for colleagues within cost control
• Collaborating and engaging with skilled colleagues across different teams and departments to govern financial solutions within projects
• Providing sparring for project management on cost forecasting, progress reporting and budget management
• Coordinating project activities including analysing designs, methods and internal manufacturing processes to ensure cost, delivery and quality targets are met
• Developing and managing new and existing projects by recommending, monitoring or adjusting appropriate operating procedures
• Implementing process improvements and changes in project controlling methods

Your new department

In Global Manufacturing & Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

You will join the growing API Investment Project Office (IPO), supporting the largest construction projects across the API organisation. IPO consists of five teams where the culture is open, engaged, curious and inclusive. Our team of 30 people is diverse and committed to fostering continuous learning and improvement. Presence on site in Kalundborg is expected 3 days per week.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a Lead Project Cost Controller who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings both technical expertise and the ability to elevate those around them. You will bring:

• 5+ years within a similar role
• Demonstrated experience within cost control from large capex projects
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to guide and set professional direction for colleagues
• A structured approach that allows you to maintain broad overview while keeping attention to detail
• Flair for translating complex financial issues into communication easily absorbed by senior stakeholders
• Fluency in English is required; Danish language skills are advantageous

Nice to have:

• Experience from a GMP-regulated industry
• Experience working across different teams and departments

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 570.000 to 838.100, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
