The Position
As the Student Analyst in Finance & Operations in Sweden,
you will be co-responsible for our strategic resource allocation,
investment analysis and total operating cost management. You will
act as a sparring and business partner to our local marketing and
sales organisation.
As part of the role, you will be engaging with a large variety
of stakeholders across the value chain in the Swedish sales
affiliate and within the Finance & Operations team to discuss
and ensure that our investments and resource allocation is in line
with our strategy. It entails working closely with the marketing and
people and organisation teams to conduct proper financial controls
of our investments and cost-base forecasting.
Moreover, you will:
• Fully own our total operating cost monthly management
procedures, including budget follow-up, and analysis and postings of
our spend and invoices.
• Become a super user of our financial systems, and guide
colleagues in navigating these.
• Drive forecasting and budget processes for our total
operating costs and monthly management reporting.
• Be a part of a diverse and core team of the Swedish
affiliate and work closely together with the other Finance Partners,
Supply chain managers and Commercial Excellence managers within the
Finance &
Operations team
• Drive cross-functional working groups to address ad-hoc and
current business challenges.
It is a part-time position, with ca. 15 h of work per week where we offer hybrid working options, with the possibility of working both from our Malmö office, Copenhagen office or from home.
Qualifications
You are highly communicative and a self-driven team player who
has a keen interest in financial decision making and the
pharmaceutical industry. The person we are looking for:
• Is currently involved in a BA or MA programme in Finance,
Economics, or similar, and ideally has at least 2 years of their
studies left
• Has a solid problem-solving toolbox, out-of-the-box
thinking and eagerness to further improve your financial and
forecasting skillset
• Has a strong stakeholder management skills and great
ability to build relations
• Has a track record of driving projects independently, and
expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
• Has experience within data-modelling and business
intelligence tools such PowerBI is a plus, but not a must-have
• Is fluent in both written and spoken English, while
knowledge of any Scandinavian language would be desirable
• Has a learning and adaptive mindset that allows them to
thrive in dynamic environments.
About the Department
The position is anchored in the Finance & Operations team of Novo Nordisk Sweden, with its office located in Malmö. It provides financial and operational support for the Swedish affiliate with its activities for pharmaceutical sales and drug development within Sweden.
